A fatal exception has occurred
A Texas judge today faced a widespread rebuke from her fellow lawyers for refusing to keep her courthouse open after 5pm to hear a last-minute death row appeal. The prisoner was executed hours later. For once the Grauniad got it right, then, ….. but ….Come on, for goodness sake, she probably had an appointment to have her nails or her hair done or something equally important, and you know how bad the traffic can be at 5 pm.
