Leon Brooks is back!

Well well, less than 2 months ago I wrote:

Leon, I hope you make a speedy and thorough recovery. Get well soon.

Well, check this out, here’s Leon’s first blog post since the accident! Leon – you are amazing!

My brain is now essentially OK — modulo some bits of Short Term Memory killled by the total loser’s antics — and the body is steadily rebuilding, so I do have a viable future as this develops.

The most disturbing part of it is that the subtext of his post implies that the “accident” was anything but – he writes:

I truly have ZERO appreciation for a selfish waste of space and oxygen who hurts people for the hell of it, including that it had already hurt several others before applying it’s stupid malice to me.

Sometimes I despair for humanity, but then people like Leon come along and give me some hope. Leon – it is so good to see you back in the virtual world again – keep fighting!

  1. Hi there, firstly, this is not Leon, but his wife Lucy. I just want to say that Leon is indeed back, and doing =remarkably well=, Praise God! =BUT= that the blog he posted is still quite confused, and his “memory” of the accident is largely imaginery. He is still having a lot of difficulty differentiating between factual and confabulated memories, due to the injury to the frontal lobes of his brain, and I am afraid that most of what he has written in this posting is in the second (although he truly believes it!) catagory, as reasonable and well articulated as it sounds. We are praying that his continued rehabilitation will be as fast as his remarkable recovery has been, so that he will be able to resume his place in society soon. For your interest, the recent blogs have been posted from our home, where I have had him on weekend leave from the hospital. His desire to be back in contact with you all was very strong! Sitting down to blog on his lappy on our bed was the first thing that he did when he arrived home! Thanks for all of your prayers, anonymous donations to keep bread on the table, practical help keeping Leon’s clients afloat, emails, and concern for Leon’s progress, it is heart warming to know that that are so many people out there that Leon means something to… Lucy xx
