Putting /etc Under Version Control

This is really nice, a (really short and to the point) guide to putting your /etc directory under version control using SVK (a distributed extension to subversion).

Thanks to Brian for the pointer for this really neat trick (originally posted to the Debian-devel mailing list).

    Yeah, one of these days I need to get around to checking in my .bashrc, .emacs, etc. into the free Subversion server that I get with my DreamHost web hosting. I don’t know why I keep procrastinating. I’ve read most of the Subversion red book so it shouldn’t even be that hard.
