“Tasmanian Tiger” Cloning Project Shelved
It appears that a project launched in 1999 to try and clone the Thylacine, more popularly known as the Tasmanian Tiger, has been shelved due to the poor quality of the available DNA.

I do believe the project was picked up again by a joint group of universities. At the same time, I am not aware of any public announcement in the past two years either.
