Kudos to Lorn from Trolltech/Nokia on being responsive to the timezone problem I blogged about this morning, he’s released a new version of the QT Extended 4.4.1 firmware which fixes the timezone issue and seems to have made the touchscreen behave properly again!
Only downside at the moment is that it doesn’t seem to want to read the battery information, which is going to make life a little hard (and might be an issue with this kernel instead), but this time I’m happy to stick with it.
I am also using this new image on my Freerunner – seems to work quite nice. Connecting to wlan was a bit counter-intuitive, but I managed in the end (settings/internet/… after adding, tap on “offline”, wait, and then see “online”).
Have you got IMAP email working? I managed to get (parts of) my folders list, but they all seem empty. I was able to send an email, though. But I can’t read my inbox.
Some bugs are listed here: http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Qtopia_4.4
Nope, not touched the email stuff on it, and I’ve actually just dropped back to the 4.3.3 snapshot due to the echo problems resurfacing again. 🙁
