Upgraded to PHP5

I’ve taken the plunge and upgraded Apache to use PHP5 (with mod-fcgid) and so far the only casualty has been Rich Boakes’s Most Wanted plugin (so if anyone has any PHP5 foo to spare, could they point it in Rich’s direction please ?)

The only other issue was with wp-cache 2.0 which needed this little tweak by Kelson to fix the “odd blank screen bug” properly.

Now if only I could figure out how to get stattraq to play nicely with wp-cache all would be good..

The Jumbled Jigsaw arrives!

Well the author copies of Donna’s 9th published book The Jumbled Jigsaw have arrived with a fab cover featuring a lovely painting by Donna called the Music of Beingness!

Hopefully it’ll stir up the autism field into realising that there is far more diversity in the causes of the symptoms that get labelled as “Autism” and that a diagnosis of autism confers no magic resistance to things like Tourettes, OCD, bipolar or anything else that the rest of the population gets.

Comments fixed

Found the problem, it was just a trivial typo; the new theme had added an extra ‘s’ on the word comment in a bit of code in two places, so very easily fixed!

Of course, because of those evil comment spamming robots out there you still have to register before you can leave a comment.

New look for CSamuel.org

After a few years of the old theme (a slightly tweaked Postnuke standard) I’ve decided to change the theme of this website for a bit of a face lift and because I was geting a bit bored with the old one. It wasn’t quite "clean" enough, if you know what I mean ?

So, after some looking around & testing on myself I’ve gone for the xSanctuary theme by Dynawerx which has a nice clean, elegant feel to it and is all done in CSS. I really like what it’s done for the layout of the side blocks (the RSS feeds from other sites in particular), it feels a lot less cluttered and Donna reckons it’s a lot easier to navigate.

Now I just need to figure out where the ability to comment has gone! 🙂
