This is interesting, the BBC is going to replace two episodes of missing Doctor Who video footage from the series The Invasion with animation by the award winning Cosgrove Hall company. They’ve got a 30 second teaser up at the moment.
Sounds great, but I’ve been conditioned into thinking of Cosgrove Hall doing Dangermouse and so I can’t help but think that perhaps they might introduce a new character..
Penfold: Oh crumbs Doctor, there’s them nasty Cyberwotsits again! Help! Ahhhhhhh!

Google have a nice new toy called Google Trends – here’s some searches that I’ve come up with that are amusing..
Fun for all the family!
The BBC reports that Mr Justice Peter Smith encoded a message into his judgement on the “Da Vinci Code” copyright case.
Seemingly random italicised letters were included in the 71-page judgement given by Mr Justice Peter Smith, which apparently spell out a message. […]
Italicised letters in the first few pages spell out “Smithy Code”, while the following pages also contain marked out letters.
I liked the fact he said:
I can’t discuss the judgement, but I don’t see why a judgement should not be a matter of fun,
Nice one your honour. 🙂
Looks like Rich decided to blow the gaff early on his little global conspiracy that I joined in on some time ago (and finally came up with a plausible fake story for last night to see if we’d catch anyone down under). 🙂
I’ve got to admit that I recognised it as a tailing pool after a recent trip up to Gladstone and seeing the real things at close hand…
Here’s a bizarre story – a koala called Aoi in Japan that comes down out of the trees to sleep on the ground each night. It’s the only one of the 9 to do so apparently!
These are lovely, I’ve found two great alternative versions of Jabberwocky by Peter H. Cole – one using Welsh place names called “Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogochiwoci” and another using curry names called “Chapatiwocky” (shades there of Les Barker’s classic “William Patel Overture” from the Mrs Ackroyd Band’s great little album “Oranges and Lemmings“).
Warning: an understanding of Welsh pronunciation may assist you with understanding the true beauty of the former..
There’s also Peter Cole’s summary rendition of Beowulf, sort of in the spirit of the Reduced Shakespeare Company, which reduces the entire legend to 8 lines of rhyme – finally I understand it! 🙂
Damn, they’ve spotted us!
